An Original laptop display must match more than the screen diagonal. This Original laptop display buying guide helps compare the MSI, Huawei, Gigabyte and eMachines categories at Richcom in Sri Lanka while keeping compatibility at the centre of the decision.
Compare the current MSI Laptop Display range and prices in Sri Lanka. Use this guide to decide what to check, then read the complete specification on your chosen listing.
Original Laptop Display Buying Guide: Identify the exact laptop and installed panel
Record the complete laptop model and any suffix on its label. Different configurations within the same family can use different screens. The existing panel label is useful for compatibility checking, but the final listing should still identify the laptop model you own. Share a clear photo of the label when the configuration is uncertain.
Check connector, resolution and refresh rate
Compare diagonal size, resolution, connector type, pin count and connector position. A 17.3-inch FHD 144Hz screen is not automatically suitable for every 17.3-inch laptop. Touchscreens can require a different assembly and connection. Confirm that the laptop’s cable and system support the requested refresh rate before treating a display as an upgrade.
Confirm the mounting and complete assembly
Check mounting tabs, panel thickness and whether the item is a bare panel or a complete touch assembly. Photos help identify shape, but they cannot establish the electrical interface on their own. Keep fitting costs separate from the display price unless the quotation says otherwise. Use the relevant appointment or product details for the current fitting arrangement.
