How should I size a rack UPS?
List the equipment to be backed up, measure or confirm each device’s power draw, and total the load. Compare both watt and VA limits and use the manufacturer runtime chart at that load.
What rack and outlet details matter?
Check rack unit height, depth, weight, input plug, output sockets and the available circuit. Confirm the UPS fits the cabinet and that connected equipment can reach the outlets safely.
