A desktop for everyday work should be easy to use, include the equipment you need and fit the desk where it will live. This Ryzen 5 desktop PC buying guide compares Richcom’s AMD office, student and business full sets in Sri Lanka. All three use the Ryzen 5 8600G, so the monitor and intended use are more useful starting points than the processor badge alone.
Compare Ryzen 5 Desktop PC prices in Sri Lanka for the current full-set options. Each listing identifies the processor, memory, storage, graphics and included display. This guide explains how those details affect your shortlist.
Ryzen 5 desktop PC buying guide: compare the configurations
The table gives a quick view of the AMD models currently listed in this category. Prices are shown in LKR as checked on 10 October 2026. Follow the product links for current prices, availability and the complete specification.
| Full set | Processor | RAM | Storage | Price (LKR) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AMD Essential Office PC | AMD Ryzen 5 8600G | 16GB DDR5 RAM | Lexar NM620 512GB NVMe SSD | 414,475 |
| AMD Student | AMD Ryzen 5 8600G | 16GB DDR5 RAM | Lexar NM620 512GB NVMe SSD | 414,475 |

Which Ryzen 5 processor and graphics setup do you need?
The Ryzen 5 8600G combines six CPU cores and 12 threads with Radeon 760M integrated graphics. In these listings, the processor is paired with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. That gives you one clear baseline for comparing the three packages. Integrated graphics provide the display connection, so these sets do not include a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card.
Choose a Ryzen 5 full set when your main work is documents, accounting, browser applications, presentations or school assignments. A separate graphics card is not essential for every desk. However, specialist 3D work, heavy GPU effects and demanding video workflows deserve a different shortlist. Compare the required software and project size before moving up to a larger workstation.
Three Ryzen 5 full sets to compare
AMD Essential Office PC
The Essential Office PC keeps the package focused on everyday productivity. Its ViewSonic VA2025-H monitor has a 19.5-inch screen and a 1600 × 900 resolution. Choose it for a compact desk where documents, email and browser tools make up most of the working day. The included keyboard and mouse are the wired Logitech MK120 set.

AMD Student
The Student set uses the same processor, memory and storage baseline as the office model. Its 19.5-inch display suits assignments, research and presentations. Think about the learning software your student actually uses, rather than paying for unused graphics hardware. A webcam is not included in this configuration, so check camera and headset requirements separately for online lessons.

AMD Business Essential
The Business Essential changes the display to a 21.5-inch Full HD ViewSonic monitor. The higher resolution can be useful when working with spreadsheets or keeping two windows visible. It remains a Ryzen 5 8600G system with 16GB memory and 512GB storage. Compare the larger screen against your desk space and the way staff use their applications.

What is included in the desktop full set?
A full set includes the assembled tower, the monitor or monitors stated in the listing, and a Logitech MK120 wired USB keyboard and mouse. The tower specification also identifies its motherboard, CPU cooler, power supply and casing. A dedicated graphics card is included only where the product specifies one.
The listings specify Windows 11 Professional and Microsoft Office 2024 Pro Plus. Confirm the supplied licences, activation and any application-specific requirements when ordering. Design, CAD, editing and development applications mentioned as suitable workloads are not automatically included as licensed software.
Memory, storage and display: check the whole package
Use your largest normal project as the starting point for memory. Several open applications, large creative documents or local development services can require more RAM than simple document work. Compare both capacity and the number of memory modules listed. A capacity increase should solve an actual workload need rather than simply follow the processor tier.
An NVMe SSD holds the operating system, applications and working files. Check the total capacity and any separate drives on the selected listing. Keep enough free space for your own files and temporary data. Extra local storage is useful, but important documents and projects still need an independent backup.
For the display, compare resolution as well as screen size. A larger Full HD screen and a QHD screen provide different working space. Check desk depth, the number of monitors and the required display connections. The product specification takes precedence over an illustrative image.

Compare Ryzen 5 with an Intel package for the same work
For everyday office or study work, compare memory and monitor resolution as well as the processor. The Ryzen 5 8600G examples include integrated graphics and DDR5 memory; the linked Intel office examples use DDR4. This difference does not by itself establish which complete system performs better for your applications.
Prices are in LKR, checked against published Richcom listings on 10 October 2026. This table compares listed configurations and prices, not benchmark results. Follow the product links for the exact monitors, accessories, software and warranty terms.
Compare what is included before judging value. Additional applications, a webcam or extra accessories are included only when the listing or quotation explicitly states them.
