Confirm cabinet fit before ordering
Check U height, usable depth, mounting-rail arrangement, equipment weight and ventilation. Include the mounting kit needed for the exact cabinet and UPS. Rear connector access and cable bend space also matter. A rackmount description does not establish that the unit fits every 19-inch cabinet.
Match load, outlets and runtime
List servers, storage, switches and other equipment that will draw from the UPS. Check total watts and VA, the required runtime and the available supply. Identify output socket types and compatible PDU arrangements. External battery expansion should only be included where supported by the selected model.
Plan commissioning and service access
Agree the outage window and which equipment must shut down during installation. Scope any supported network monitoring, shutdown software and alerts. At handover, record protected loads and final connections. Keep the UPS and battery arrangement accessible for service so later maintenance does not require unnecessary cabinet disruption.
