The Level One (Germany) GEU-2429 hardware version 1 combines 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports with four Gigabit SFP slots for office workgroups, shared storage and copper-to-fibre network expansion. This listing covers the 4-SFP version. The unmanaged design makes it suitable for straightforward wired connectivity without a web-management setup.
RJ45 ports negotiate compatible 10/100/1000Mbps links automatically, while auto-MDI/MDIX simplifies cable selection. Store-and-forward switching filters damaged frames, and the 16K MAC table supports address learning across the network. Jumbo-frame operation requires compatible settings and equipment throughout the relevant network path.
Choose SFP transceivers to match the required fibre type, distance, wavelength and equipment at the other end of the link. Optical modules and fibre cables are purchased separately. This switch does not provide PoE, so connected devices require their own power source or a suitable separate injector.
