Product Information
The Level One (Germany) 20-Port Gigabit PoE Unmanaged Switch with 2 SFP Slots – GEP-2021 brings IP surveillance, wireless access points and business telephony together on a single Gigabit switching platform. Its 20-port configuration gives installers a clear basis for planning endpoint connections and fibre uplinks. Its unmanaged design is suited to installations that need dependable wired connectivity with minimal setup.
Auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDIX, IEEE 802.3x flow control and front-panel status indicators plus selectable port isolation are supported. Automatic Ethernet negotiation helps connect devices running at different supported link speeds. Select optical modules that match the documented slot speed, fibre type, distance and far-end equipment. Transceivers and fibre cables are optional and are not listed as supplied accessories.
The 270W PoE budget is shared across all powered ports; the per-port maximum does not mean every port can supply that maximum simultaneously. Check each powered device’s standard and maximum demand before installation. Leave ventilation clearance around the chassis and install it in an appropriately ventilated location. Use the documented power input, mounting method and operating environment. The supplied items are listed in the specifications; additional cabling, optical modules and other accessories should be selected separately for the installation.
