Product Information
HWIC-1T adds one serial interface to supported Cisco Integrated Services Routers. It uses Cisco Smart Serial cabling and supports synchronous operation up to 8Mbps and asynchronous operation up to 115.2kbps. Supported electrical interfaces depend on the selected cable.
Verify the host-router model, available HWIC slot, Cisco IOS release and cable type before installation. This is a serial card, not the separate HWIC-1DSU-T1 module with a built-in T1 CSU/DSU. The required DTE or DCE cable is an optional selection; no cable is claimed as included. The module receives operating power from its compatible host.
