Product Information
GVT-2000 connects a copper Ethernet device to an optional 1000BASE-X SFP module. The SFP slot allows the fiber type, wavelength and reach to be selected through a compatible transceiver. Auto-negotiation on the copper side and the documented link-fault functions support straightforward integration into a suitable network.
Match the fiber type, connector, wavelength and far-end interface before installation. The copper and optical sides must operate within the converter capabilities; a media converter does not add PoE power to the link. The official package lists a power adapter and quick installation guide. The SFP module and fiber cable are separate items.
