Product Information
The MSTronic MS-T100E adds inline surge protection to a single copper Ethernet connection. It is suited to network installations that use compatible PoE-powered cameras, access points and other Ethernet equipment, provided the connected equipment and cabling stay within the published electrical limits. The two RJ45 sockets connect the network cable path through the protector; the unit does not distribute traffic as a network switch or replace a PoE power source.
CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT6a cabling are supported at 10/100/1000 Mbps. Compatibility includes IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, 802.3bt and PoH, with a nominal 48 V operating voltage and the current and continuous-voltage limits listed above. Connect the grounding lead to an appropriate earth connection as part of the installation.
The metal body incorporates mounting brackets and a 14 AWG grounding lead. DIN-rail mounting requires the optional kit; that kit is not described as a standard included accessory. This listing is for MS-T100E, without the separate IP66 outdoor enclosure used by the MS-T100E-IP66 variant.
