Key Features

  • Bridge copper Ethernet equipment to multimode ST fiber.
  • Extend the optical link up to 2km with matching far-end equipment.
  • Propagate link faults to help identify a broken copper or fiber connection.
  • Use the built-in indicators to check power and link activity.
  • Deploy as a standalone converter with the listed power adapter.

Product Information

FVT-2002 connects a copper Ethernet device to multimode ST fiber. The fixed optical interface supports up to 2km under suitable fiber-link conditions. Auto-negotiation on the copper side and the documented link-fault functions support straightforward integration into a suitable network.

Match the fiber type, connector, wavelength and far-end interface before installation. The copper and optical sides must operate within the converter capabilities; a media converter does not add PoE power to the link. The official package lists a power adapter and quick installation guide. Fiber cabling and the far-end equipment are separate items.
