The Level One (Germany) GVT-2014 is a Gigabit PoE media converter featuring 1 × 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ RJ45 and 1 × 1000BASE-LX SC single-mode fiber. With 1 × 1000BASE-LX SC single-mode, 1310 nm, up to 20 km, it extend a gigabit link over single-mode fiber up to 20 km with the sc interface; supply an ieee 802.3af/at endpoint with up to 30 w through the copper port; connect gigabit copper equipment without manual crossover cabling.

Product Information

This converter links a copper Gigabit Ethernet device to an SC single-mode fiber run while providing PoE+ power on its RJ45 port. The 20 km reach depends on suitable fiber and the matching optical link. The included external adapter powers the converter; the 30 W figure is the maximum PoE output budget, not a guarantee of endpoint compatibility. It is an unmanaged desktop unit.
