Product Information

The Molex AFOUN012OS2 is a 12-fibre single mode cable for outdoor optical cabling. Its 9/125 µm fibre format should be matched to compatible pigtails, connectors and transceivers. Fibre count describes the individual optical paths inside the cable; it does not represent a choice of cable lengths.

The armoured construction is intended for outdoor cable routing where the optical assembly needs added physical protection. Select ducts, supports and termination enclosures to suit the installation. Armour alone does not establish suitability for every direct-burial or self-supporting aerial application.

This listing is for bulk cable. Pre-fitted connectors, optical modules, patch panels and installation hardware are not listed as included. Link speed and usable distance depend on the complete optical link, including the transceivers, terminations, splices and loss budget.
