The Level One (Germany) Hilbert 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Lite Managed Switch – GES-2108P brings IP surveillance, wireless access points and business telephony together on a single Gigabit switching platform. Its 8-port configuration gives installers a clear basis for planning endpoint connections. The management features let administrators organise traffic and monitor the network as it grows.
VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping, static link aggregation, port mirroring, cable testing and storm control are supported. VLANs can separate network traffic and QoS can prioritise time-sensitive services when correctly configured.
The 112.8W PoE budget is shared across all powered ports; the per-port maximum does not mean every port can supply that maximum simultaneously. Check each powered device’s standard and maximum demand before installation. Fanless cooling suits quiet spaces, but ventilation openings must remain clear. Use the documented power input, mounting method and operating environment.
